The latest cask-strength batch of bourbon from Never Say Die, distilled in Kentucky and matured in England, boasts a mash bill of 75% corn, 21% rye, and 4% malted barley. This combination results in a silky smooth, buttery caramel profile, elegantly balanced by soft spice. A total of 188 bottles were drawn from this single cask. On the nose, one finds notes of oak char and vanilla, accompanied by zesty citrus oils and a hint of cinnamon. Upon tasting, the palate experiences the continued presence of spice, with woody cinnamon and nutmeg harmoniously balanced by buttery toffee and leathery oak. The finish is mellow, with rye spice gathering warmth as butterscotch and oaken vanilla linger.
