The double-matured Talisker has now become part of the 2022 Distillers Edition collection. This smoky single malt from the Isle of Skye has been infused with a generous dose of fruity sweetness, thanks to American oak casks seasoned with amoroso, a style of sweetened sherry. Its aroma exudes salty sea spray, bonfires, and a raisin-like sweetness. On the palate, one can appreciate plenty of peat, complemented by sticky dates, peppery spice, and a hint of salt. The finish is characterised by drying oak and a lingering smoke.
