This release exemplifies the ability of English whisky to rival the finest, featuring a blend of oloroso, PX, and red wine casks crafted from Spanish and American oak. Bottled at 52% ABV, it is non-chill filtered and maintains its natural colour. On the nose, one detects creamy hazelnut, clove, raspberry, stewed plums, chocolate-coated raisins, salted caramel, and sandalwood. The palate reveals notes of toffee popcorn, apricot jam, almond friands, honeyed fruits, graham crackers, red berries, orange peel, and woody spice. The finish leaves a lingering aftertaste of orchard fruit and dark chocolate.
