The Italian Collection from Tomatin comprises three releases finished in Italian wine casks. Distilled in 2010, this release was aged for a decade in ex-bourbon casks before undergoing a finishing period in barrels that previously held Barolo. Barolo, crafted exclusively from the Nebbiolo grape in Piedmont, is one of Italy's most esteemed wines. This expression reveals a fragrantly aromatic nose with marzipan and chocolate notes. On the palate, it presents red fruit such as cherries and cranberries, complemented by baking spices and a hint of orange. The finish is sweet and subtly nutty.
