We are ardent admirers of white Port, and naturally, whisky, although the two seldom intersect, making this juncture particularly notable. Distilled at Tomintoul in 2008, this 14-year-old single malt Scotch was matured in white Port casks, bestowing delightful sweet, vinous notes upon its refined malt base. The aroma displays floral hints of elderflower and orchard blossom, complemented by white grapes and pineapple sweets, accompanied by gentle barley undertones. The palate offers an abundance of fruity zest with summer berries, sultanas, and honeyed prunes, enriched by syrupy flapjack and a touch of fresh vanilla. The finish is marked by praline, yellow plums, spiced biscuits, and subtle nuances of creamy mocha.
