Crafted by the master distiller Robert Fleming at Tomintoul, this single malt was initially aged in a selection of bourbon casks before being married and finished in Caribbean rum barrels. It presents itself as a decadent sipper with notes of brown sugar, coconut cream, and cakey spice, which we believe would also perform admirably in cocktails. The aroma reveals vibrant malt and sweet florals, complemented by buttery pastry and coconut husks. On the palate, one can discern caramelised brown sugar, sweet cinnamon, and nutty nougat, with undertones of chocolate honeycomb and cakey spices. The aftertaste is graced by buttery fudge, cocoa, charred oak, and sweet baking spices.
