This is the 10th batch of Glengoyne's exquisite Cask Strength single malt. Matured in a discerning combination of refill, oloroso sherry, and bourbon casks, it is bottled unchill-filtered at a robust 59.5% ABV. It exudes generous layers of cakey spice, nutty malt, honeyed fruit, and oaken vanilla. On the nose, one encounters soft stone fruits and baked apples, delicately dusted with nutmeg, complemented by creamy vanilla custard and Malted Milk biscuits. The palate reveals rounded layers of runny, buttery toffee and whispers of citrus zest, paving the way for syrupy, fruit-laden flapjack and banana bread. The finish lingers with mellow oak and biscuity barley, enriched by juicy stone fruits, tangy citrus, nutmeg, and cinnamon.
