The Talisker Distillers Edition bottlings are truly marvellous. This delightful single malt from Skye, finished in Amaroso sherry casks, was distilled in 2011 and bottled in 2021 at 45.8% ABV. Expect smoky, coastal notes complemented by the soft sweetness of chocolate and dried fruit. The nose reveals scents of BBQ charred pineapple, salted peanuts, sea shells, and mint chocolate. On the palate, one finds dates and honeycomb, underpinned by salinity and creamy malt. The aftertaste offers rum-soaked raisins, smoky oak, and cinnamon.
