Compass Box's delectable Spice Tree was, for a time, considered non-compliant with SWA regulations. Having revised its production methods, Spice Tree has triumphantly returned, now even more exceptional. This blended malt comprises Highland whiskies aged in custom casks fitted with new French oak heads. In April 2015, it was honoured as the Best Blended Malt Scotch at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. Its aroma is fragrant and aromatic, featuring notes of dried herbs, spices, oak, and vanilla, with a hint of bourbon and a peppery tang. The palate reveals flavours of gingernut biscuits, toffee spices, herbal tones, and rich vanilla, culminating in a peppery finish. The aftertaste is notably very spicy, robust, and rich.
