To commemorate the centenary of the House of Suntory, a limited-edition Yamazaki 12 Year Old has been released from Japan’s oldest malt whisky distillery. The special label, adorned to mark this milestone, depicts the renowned distillery from a low angle, symbolising the importance of remaining grounded, as inspired by founder Shinjiro Torii. The aroma boasts a good body with abundant nut oils and zest, accompanied by a delightful floral character, hints of tropical fruit, and a rooty note. The palate is smooth and soft, offering a harmonious blend of sweetness and winter spice, with the emergence of a charming citrus note, more tropical fruit nuances, and a touch of rum. The finish is medium, leaving impressions of fruit and zest.
